What's next
New tools are built one at a time based on real workflows. If there's a workflow you'd buy once to own outright, suggestions are welcome.
A short list of standing commitments.
The way the business is run matters as much as the software itself. These are the operating principles that hold across every tool.
One-time pricing, kept that way.
Every Madfable tool is sold as a single purchase. Pricing for existing customers is fixed at the price they paid.
Long-term availability.
Installers remain available to customers who have purchased them. Licenses do not expire.
Updates included.
When a tool is improved, the update is included. Existing customers receive new features at the price they originally paid.
Local processing by default.
Software runs on the customer's machine. Files are processed locally. No telemetry, no analytics phoning home.
Direct support.
Support email goes to the developer who wrote the code. Response within one business day.
Built and supported by one person.
Madfable is run by a single developer. There is no team, no outsourced support, no third-party data handling.
Things that can be independently verified.
Trust comes from things you can check, not things companies say about themselves. Here's what's verifiable about Mad Fable.
01 / Signed
Code-signed installers
Each release is signed with a verified publisher certificate. Windows displays my name Michael Raposa as the publisher name on installation.
02 / Offline
Local-only operation
Each tool runs offline once installed. The exception is MadCrawl, which connects to the websites being audited.
03 / Located
Real Massachusetts business
Madfable is registered in Southcoast Massachusetts and operated by a named person aka me! Not a Delaware shell, not an offshore brand.
04 / Processed
Lemon Squeezy payments
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, an established merchant of record handling compliance for thousands of indie developers.
A small studio building software the older way.
